At Leib, when we are unable to collect on the unpaid invoices or accounts for our clients, we will utilize the service of collection attorneys, after permission is obtained from our client.  Leib utilizes an International network of collection law firms with over 300 attorneys handling active litigation accounts for Leib and our clients. At Leib, this attorney forwarding service demands we constantly evaluate our attorneys so you are getting the best possible representation. Leib Solutions works as the liaison between you and the attorney to simplify communications, thereby streamlining your collection process.  

Attorney Lite - Non Litigation Program 

It's important to understand that not every account is suit worthy.  What factors into that decision?  1) The size of the balance 2) Age of the claim 3) Do we have the active information of the debtor ?  At Leib we provide our clients with an Attorney Lite program.  This program still includes attorney forwarding, but is a non litigation approach to resolving accounts. We will forward your accounts to an attorney in the debtor's area for letters and phone calls.  At no time during this Attorney Lite program will the attorney's mention litigation.  

Litigation Program 

Once Leib and our attorneys have identified that we have a suit worthy account, we will ask our client to provide court costs and once they are received, the lawsuit will commence with the filing of the Summons/Complaint.  We will monitor the entire process from beginning to end in an effort to maximize the recovery and length of time in which that recovery process takes places. Judgement is granted to the winning plaintiff in a lawsuit to whom the court decides the defendant owes money. A judgement creditor can use various means to collect the judgement. The judgement is good for a specified number of years ( each state is different) and then may be renewed by a filed request. If the defendant debtor files for bankruptcy, the judgement creditor will have priority ( the right to share in assets) ahead of general creditors who are not secured by mortgages or deeds of trust and do not have judgements. However, if the bankrupt person has no assets, this becomes an empty advantage. Some defendants ignore judgements against them, and thereby force plaintiffs to employ writs of execution to enforce judgements.

We require that our attorneys maintain a $1M Professional Liability Policy. In addition, they must  be Licensed and Bonded.
