John Metzger, Chairman and CEO
John Metzger is Chairman of the Smyyth Family of Companies, which includes Leib Solutions LLC. Previously, he was CEO and Founder of Creditek Corp., which he led to the leadership position in the credit, accounts receivable, collections and deduction management BPO industry until its its sale in 2002 (the “Creditek” trademark was reacquired by Smyyth in 2013). He has directed Smyyth to a technology and thought-leadership position in the revenue cycle management field, including best-in-class enterprise “cloud” solutions such as Credit2B and Carixa, and high performance receivables solutions including Leib Solutions. Earlier in his career he was a management consultant, and Executive Vice President of worldwide operations in the consumer goods industry.
Robert G. Leib, Founder
Founder and Advisor to LEIB Solutions, the company has leadership in selected markets and today it works with dozens of Fortune 500 companies and insurance companies. Prior to founding Leib Solutions in 1989, Bob was with Dun & Bradstreet’s receivables management unit. Since starting Leib Solutions, the company and Bob have won numerous business awards, including the Inc. 500/5000, and was named Wharton Entrepreneur of the Year.
Carl Torban, EVP and Chief Operating Officer
Carl Torban is Chief Operating Officer, responsible for all operations and administration, and brings over twenty years of finance and collection management experience to LEIB Solutions. Previously, he was with The Lincoln Insurance Group for fifteen years where he was responsible for third-party deductibles, agency and direct premiums, as well as subrogation. Earlier, with One Beacon Insurance, Carl coordinated the premium receivables operations of 26 units, and managed a team of account representatives dealing with agency receivables of all forms including retro-rated policies and premium audits.
Joseph D’Apolito, Vice President Finance & Planning
Joe is responsible for finance, corporate planning and shared service functions for the Smyyth family of companies. He has twenty-years executive experience in finance, accounting and administration with top health insurance companies, and the construction industry. Earlier in his career, he was CFO of Empire Roofing, and CFO and V.P. Underwriting for PHHC, acquired by Emblem where he served as Director and Leadership of Health Care Reform Team. At Anthem Health Insurance, he was CFO of a $5 billion unit, responsible for finance and integrating financial activities across multiple locations. Joe is a Graduate of Lehigh University with a degree in Finance and Accounting.
Frank Boni – Vice President – Managed Services
Frank is Vice President – Managed Services and Technology Operations, responsible for Carixa™ End-to-End Revenue Cycle SaaS software operations. Frank has 20 years of experience in commercial receivables management, credit and collections, including as Director of Operations and Sales Support for NCO Financial Systems, Inc., and earlier with Dun & Bradstreet RMS, and Payco GAC Corp. Frank has a B.S. in Business Administration from Hofstra University.
Karen McCann – Vice President, Integration and Product
Karen has 20 years of experience in operations, data management, administration, and customer service, including serving as Director, Client Services with Creditek, an outsourcing company, and as a manager of customer services with Bell Atlantic. In addition to managing systems integration and enterprise client services, Karen is the product manager for Carixa, the company’s remarkable cloud order-to-cash technology.
